Teen Art Camp for Cool, Creative Experiences. Ages 11 - 14
Art Squad allows teens to use the theme of the week as a departure point for their own creative experience. Squads are divided by age; squad 1 for the youngest, squad 2-3 make up the middle, and squad 4 is for the older teens up to age 14. Space is limited so early registration is recommended. Drop off is between 8:30 am and 9:00 am; and pick up is promptly at 3:00 p.m. Parent/Adult must sign their camper in and out daily and show I.D upon pick up.

Art and More for Children Entering Kindergarten. Ages 4.5 - 5
Mini-Masters Art Camp is designed for children entering kindergarten (have to turn 5 by August 31, 2024). Space is limited so early registration is suggested.
Campers explore adventures in art with mixed-media focused on fun and educational themes of the week.
Campers have lunch (not provided) together at 11:30 am. We provide a snack for them at 1:45 pm.
Drop off is between 8:45 am and 9:00 am; and pick up is promptly at 3:00 pm.
**Parent/Adult must sign their camper in and out daily and show I.D upon pick up.

Magnificent Murals for Ages 8 -10
Under the direction of DFAC’s talented faculty, young artists will learn the steps in creating magnificent, monumental sized drawings and paintings that will be on display at DFAC.
Students will work as a team or in smaller groups using the theme of the week, to work up sketches, then scaled drawings, then transferring/enlarging their artwork onto huge sections of paper.
Drop off is between 8:30 am and 9:00 am; and pick up is promptly at 3:00 p.m.
**Parent/Adult must sign their camper in and out daily and show I.D upon pick up.

Variety of Performing Art Forms for Ages 8 - 12
This camp embraces the idea that art goes beyond just the traditional/visual and has opportunities to explore other “art-full” areas such as Music Theater, Dance, Circus Arts and Karate.

Week 1: We put the Art in Martial Arts: This camp explores Martial Arts styles from China, Mainland Japan and Okinawa. Classes are broken up into 3 blocks focused on different styles and a fourth block of art activities. The Importance of the Martial Arts and the Fine Arts as disciplines of respect, communication and expression are emphasized. You might even recognize a style appearing in Kung Fu Panda!
Week 8: Moovin’ And Groovin’ Dance ARTS: This camp specializes in a variety of dance styles! Learn new rhythms, styles of music & culture through fun motivational games. Bring a water bottle each day. A performance will be held at the end of the week.
Weeks 2,7,10-Mr.Ray Weeks 3,4,5,6- Ms. Emily Music Theater: Young artists get the chance to create theater from the ground up! Participants will work together to produce an original piece with song and dance. Each week of themed dramatics culminates in a celebratory performance showcasing campers’ diligence and ingenuity.
Week 9: Dance & Circus Arts of Tampa Bay presents an exciting mini-version of their unique Circus Arts program. Students will explore the basics of Acrobatics, Hand Balancing, Juggling and Aerial Silks. Students’ strength and flexibility increases while learning the safety aspects of Circus training and the history of modern Circus. (Dress code requirements will be provided)
Have fun with Art and Technology. Ages 8 - 10
Under the direction of DFAC’s talented faculty, young artists will explore the digital world on DFAC iPads. They will create art using a variety of artsy apps and of course, 2D materials will be utilized as well as items for stop motion animation.
***Note: "Technology Respect Agreement" needs to be signed by parent and child. One agreement will cover the whole summer.

Visual Arts Camp for Ages 6 - 10
The visual arts camp introduces students to a variety of media, techniques, art history, and multicultural appreciation in a fun and educational environment. Pre-planned age appropriate projects, based on the weekly themes are worked on daily, and ready to come home by Friday. Clay projects take a few days to be fired, and are ready for pick up the following Thursday. Students rotate through four classes a day.
